One of the standout features of Langtons is the choice of ceremony spaces. Rather than being limited to one or two rooms, couples can choose from four unique wedding ceremony options:
The East Room – A beautifully decorated blue space that seats up to 50 guests, with views across the gardens and lake.
The West Room – Adorned with rich gold décor, also accommodating 50 guests and offering the same stunning outlook.
The Orangery – A bright, airy space with an outdoor feel, perfect for larger ceremonies of up to 90 guests.
Langtons Hall – The grandest option, seating up to 90 people for your wedding ceremony and hosting up to 100 standing or 70 seated for your wedding reception.
This variety makes Langtons House Registry Office one of the most versatile venues in Essex, with a space to suit every couple’s style and guest list.
Practical Information for Couples
While Langtons itself has limited parking (mainly available for evening receptions), there is a convenient pay-and-display car park directly opposite the entrance. Bridal cars are allowed to drop off at the main entrance, making arrivals smooth and stress-free.
The grounds are open to the public and are truly breathtaking. With landscaped gardens, a serene lake, and plenty of hidden corners, they provide endless opportunities for stunning wedding photographs. We always recommend couples take the time to visit on a sunny afternoon if possible, because photos alone simply cannot capture the atmosphere of the gardens.

Langtons offers far more than just beautiful ceremony spaces. On selected days, couples can enjoy exclusive use of the venue for their full wedding celebration, from bridal preparations to evening reception.
The Luxury Park Suite bridal room upstairs provides a bright, airy space for you and your bridesmaids to get ready in style.
Receptions are held in Langtons Hall, with its inviting wooden panelling and space for up to 50 seated guests for your meal.
After dining, the room transforms into a warm and atmospheric setting for your first dance and evening celebrations.
For something truly magical, Langtons also offers the option of a twilight wedding, with candlelight creating an unforgettable romantic atmosphere.
