Inspiration For Wedding Favours

If you have made the decision to have wedding favours, then your next question is likely to be.....what do we give our guests and how much will it cost ? Favours can range massively in price. When my brother got married in Italy all the guests received a hand blown glass bowl....the more important guests received a hand blown glass clock. My clock still takes price of place on the book shelf over 20 years later.

Obviously, this wedding favour was somewhat more expensive than many couples would want to spend or could afford to spend so we have put together a few ideas to inspire you.

After Dinner Wedding Mints

Everyone loves a little treat after dinner so why not have personalised mints doubling as your wedding favours killing two birds with one stone ?

Alcohol Wedding Favours

Whether it's a pirate wedding where little bottles of rum perfectly fit the scene and would be welcomed by all including Jack Sparrow or a small intimate wedding a little tot of alcohol is sure to bring a smile to your guests faces.

Wedding Bookmarks

If you are an avid reader like me then you will love receiving a bookmark as a wedding favour from the happy couple.

Wedding Bubbles

No, this time we are not talking about champagne, but fun soap bubbles. Not only great for keeping younger guests amused, but also a good photography prop.

Candle As Wedding Favours

Few of us, me included do not have at least one scented candle at home. If you're like me, you have multiple candles and all sorts of scents and are always on the look out for your next one.

Charity Donations

What better time to give to charity than on your wedding day with a small badge for your guests to wear with pride and raise awareness into the bargain too ?

Crystal Wedding Favours

Whether you believe in their healing power or not crystals placed around the home add a little touch of magic, specially when sunlight shines through them casting dancing colours across the walls and ceiling. These from Sharon at The Essex Spiritual Centre in Braintree would be perfect.

Homemade Wedding Favours

Nothing is more personal than homemade wedding favours and makes your guests feel extra special knowing you took some of your precious time creating them.

Keepsake Wedding Favour Tokens

A little keepsake token they can tuck in their pocket or purse is a lovely reminder of your special day. Or, how about a lucky sixpence ?

Personalised Wedding Favours

Add that personal touch to your wedding day with specially designed wedding favours for each of your guests. You could even add your guests name and use them for their place settings at your sitdown meal.

Wedding Favour Preserves

Most of us love a little luxury just like these wonderful little jars of preserves.

Wedding Seedstick Booklets

A beautiful way to remember your day is gifting your guests a little packet of seedsticks, specially if the flowers were in your wedding bouquet. We had these on our special day and mum still has a tub of gypsophila on the patio grown from them.

Miniature Wedding Soaps

How about little soaps in organza bags for your wedding guests ?

Wedding Sparklers

Great for entertaining guests young and old, but also a wonderful addition to your wedding day photos. Just make sure that your venue allows fireworks and everything is in place to keep everyone safe. At Parklands, Quendon Hall they had a designated fire marshal and buckets filled with sand for safe disposal once the magic was over.

Sugared Almond Wedding Favours

For a traditional wedding favour look no further than sugared almonds. Each guest should receive five almonds representing love, health, happiness, fertility and longlife together. Although, with many, me included being allergic to nuts you may want to swap the almonds for chocolates instead.

Wedding Favour Sweets

Who of us does not enjoy a sweet treat, some like me, probably more than we should ?

If you recently got engaged and are at the beginning of wedding planing you should read "Congratulations, You're Engaged ! .... Now What ?"
