How To Use The Harry Potter Studio Tour To Inspire Your Themed Wedding
Disclaimer - this blog is in no way officially connected to Warner Brothers or Harry Potter and as such is the opinions of the author only.
I don't know about you, but we love all things fantasy and magical and a visit to The Harry Potter Studio Tour is definitely high up on our list of favourite things to do. If we were planning our wedding today, we would seriously consider a themed wedding, and the list of ideas would include Harry Potter.
When it came to planning our big day, not only would we re-watch all the films and re-read the books, but we would also include at least one visit to The Harry Potter Studio Tour for ideas and inspiration, some of which you can see below.
1. Wedding Outfits/costumes
Colourful and flambouyant are just two words to describe some of the costumes you can see on the tour. There is definitely a nod towards medieval styles as well.
2. Wedding Venue Decor
When it comes to decorating your chosen venue, the possibilities really are endless meaning you can go as big or as subtle as you wish.
3. Wedding Jewellery/Accessories
For the bride, how about a replica of "The Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw" ? Any Potterhead will immediately recognise this iconic design.
Or, if you are after something a little more subtle you could do far worse than a themed charmed bracelet.
4. Wedding Drinks Reception
None of us can forget the Yule Ball in The Goblet of Fire, or that ice sculpture with all the glasses and bottles around it. How amazing would a replica of this display look at your Harry Potter Themed wedding ?
5. Wedding Table Plan
The wall of rules instituted by Dolores Umbridge in The Order of the Phoenix is a perfect idea for displaying your table plan.
7. Wedding Cake Inspiration
There are so many possibilities when it comes to cake design especially when you consider all the talented cake makers available to you.
8. Wedding Stationery Ideas
Most Potterheads dream of receiving their letter from Hogwarts, so why not make it a reality and design your wedding invites and stationery with this as your theme ? You may not be able to have them all personally delivered by an owl, but you could have your wedding rings delivered by one at your ceremony. The team over at Imperial Birds of Prey specialise in this service, so why not have a chat with them and see how they can make your dreams of an owl delivery come true.
