Colchester Town Hall is a beautiful and historic building that is a popular wedding venue in Essex. It is located in the heart of Colchester town centre, and is close to a number of other wedding venues, such as Colchester Castle and the Charter Hall.

The Town Hall has a number of different rooms that can be used for weddings, ceremonies and receptions. 


The largest room is the Moot Hall, which can accommodate up to 250 guests for a ceremony and 150 guests for a meal. 



The Mayoral Suite can hold up to 110 guests and includes the optional extra of The Mayor's Chambers with balcony overlooking the town centre.



The Council Chamber is ideal for a smaller wedding ceremony with up to 80 guests.  With its' stained glass windows and white dome it truly is a unique location for your wedding ceremony.



If you are after something simpler and less opulent you also have the choice of the Community Room which can accommodate up to 45 guests for your wedding ceremony.



The Town Hall is a Grade I listed building, and its interior is decorated with stained glass windows, oil paintings, and intricate murals. The venue also has a number of on-site facilities, including a kitchen, bar, and parking.
